WARNING TO L39 OPERATORS

******WARNING TO L39 OPERATORS******

Charlie Camilleri, AWAL’s Director of Self Administration and Australia’s leading L-39 expert, has recommended that all operators check the following:

1.       Charlie has noticed that in some aircraft, the mechanism that prevents accidental fuel cut-off on the front cockpit thrust lever becomes lose to the point that accidental fuel-cut-off can occur from use of the rear cockpit thrust lever. The mechanism should be checked for security, as shown in the attached photo.

2.       Some diagrams in the L-39 manuals incorrectly identify the emergency fuel switch on the left panel, front cockpit. The switch should be labelled correctly.
