23 August, 2009 - The Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatross

Want to be a jet jockey?

Two great opportunities to own and fly the world’s most popular jet warbird.

The Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatross is popular because it is built like the proverbial brick dunny, it is reliable, spares are readily obtainable, and the safety record is excellent. It has performance that exceeds that of WW2 fighters at a fraction of the purchase price or running costs.

VH-LCJ is a 1982 L-39C, with 2300 hrs total, and 350 on the engine. Adventure flight approval, Garmin 430.

She is based at Bathurst. A one-third share is for sale at $100,000.

Phone Leon on 0450 606 470, or Jeff on   0415 244 259  .

The L-39C  below is a ex factory demo unit, in as-new condition. Never flown in military service, nor put into long term storage. Low engine and airframe time.

Has adventure flight approval, Garmin 530, and 3 radios.
