AWAL and Profuel announce fuel discount scheme

AWAL President Stephen Crocker has negotiated on our behalf a substantial discount on posted airfield fuel prices. Professional Aviation Fuels, (Profuel), has recognised the need to bring together aircraft owners, operators, restorers, maintainers, historians, and enthusiasts in order to preserve Australia’s proud aviation heritage.

Profuel Director Howard Veal said that AWAL and his company will do this by working closely together to provide an opportunity for warbird operators to purchase discounted aviation fuel through Profuel’s network of Australian and international fuel distributors.

AWAL members will pay Profuel’s discounted price plus an administrative fee of 5c per litre. The total is guaranteed never to be more than the posted airfield price at any Australian location, but can be as much as 20c per litre less. AWAL members will have full access to Profuel services. These services include provision of carnet cards for Jet A-1 customers with Air BP, UV Air, Shell Aviation, and Mobil Aviation. Avgas customers are provided with carnet cards for Air BP, Shell Aviation, and Mobil aviation. These cards work throughout Australia, NZ, and the South West Pacific. Additional cards can be arranged for international travel.

For those not wanting to run an account, aviation fuel releases at any location worldwide can be purchased online. Profuel then coordinates the date, time, and volume of the desired uplift.

Profuel can advise AWAL members of the best supplier at any location, and the expected fuel price at the time of purchase.
