To celebrate their 60th aniversary, Cathay Pacific Airways has puchased a DC3 from the Phillipines and after flying it to Hong Kong, refurbished it to represent Cathay's second aircraft, a C47 named Nikki.  Their actual original aircraft,  a C47 named Betsy, is displayed in the Hong Kong Science Museum.  Nikki has pride of place in front of the Cathay Corporate Headquarters in Hong Kong.  So many classic  aeroplanes end up being reduced to scrap, so it is refreshing to see this 'old lady' being restored to her former glory.
