TONY MITCHELL'S T28
|24 September, 2008|
Attached are some photos of my Yak 55M.
It was owned by the Russian aerobatic team and was kept as a spare aircraft. It came over here in 1997 with 14 hours on it.
It now has 160 hours TT and is awesome to fly.
I have also attached some photos of my friends Yak 50.
|23 September, 2008|
The 52 was built in 1984 and flew in Russia for about three years accumulating 498 hours and was then parked until 2002. Mark McNicol found it, then imported it in 2003 and spent four years overhauling it.
The aircraft was used for military abinito training where students would learn to fly to a high standard before moving onto a jet like the L39. The cockpit layout is very similar to the L39. The aircraft has now been completly overhauled. Every component has been removed and replaced or overhauled. I am told she is the best of its type in the country. Mark's partner,...

* Nanchang ZK-WOK, I have been involved with this machine since a group of us brought it into the country to establish 'syndicate ownership'. I now own it outright. Presently it is undergoing some cosmetic attention...
