Gathering of the Harvards and Wirraways The Classic Flight Training Experience is the Aviation theme of the 2010 David Hack Classic Vehicle and Aircraft Meet, with Toowoomba Airport (YTWB) once again the venue. The date for the event is Sunday May 2nd 2010. In conjunction with the theme we are inviting and seeking expressions of interest from owner/operators of the Classic Harvard (T-6) and Wirraway trainers to gather together for the weekend. We are inviting and seeking expression of interest from operators of Warbird, Veteran, Vintage or Classic aircraft used in any flight training capacity, Ex Military or Civilian. And also wish to let those who operate the new generation of flight training aircraft that they are also more than welcome to join us. If operators are in the position to fly-in on the Saturday May 1st to take advantage of a weekend away they are more than welcome to do so with the airfield generally set up for the event mid Saturday afternoon, at this stage will include the closure of the Grass Runway 06/24 during the event and a NOTAM will be put out before the event. As it is a fly-in event there is no airshow component so there are no special requirements regarding radio operations. However we will have a ground advisory frequency for parking the aircraft only, which will be advised on arrival.
All aviation will be more than welcome to join us.
